Von den 1500 Spinnenarten gelten 30 als giftig. Davon können allerdings nur 2 dem Menschen gefährlich werden: die Trichternetzspinne (funnelweb spider), die im Großraum Sydney vorkommt, und die Rotrückenspinne (redback spider), die in den Trockenregionen heimisch ist.

What do redback spiders eat?
